ISA Certified Tree Worker/Climber Specialist Over 200 individuals are ISA Certified Tree Worker/Climber Specialists in North America
Eligibility: The Individual must have 18 months of climbing experience. The candidate must also show valid proof of training in aerial rescue, CPR and First Aid. Experience: Practical experience helpful in preparing for the knowledge and skills exam will include full-time professional work that requires the regular practical use of knowledge involved in climbing safety, tree removal, rigging, pruning, cabling, climbing/knots, tree sciences, and tree identification. Membership: Membership is not required to take the certification exam. As ISA members provide financial support to the Certification Program through membership fees, members in good standing will be charged lower certification fees. Both members and non-members will be charged certification and exam fees that reflect the appropriate considerations including the cost of providing the exam at the candidate's chosen location. Fees: Recertification: Examination: Structure - The exam is made up of two parts. A 50 question, multiple choice knowledge exam and a skill exam.
