ISA Certified Arborist/Utility Specialists Over 470 individuals are ISA Certified Arborist/Utility Specialists in North America
Eligibility: The individual must be an ISA Certified Arborist and have a minimum of two years documented and verifiable electric utility vegetation management experience or as a consultant to with utilities a minimum of 4,000 hours in a maximum of a ten year period. Experience: Eligible practical experience will include full-time professional work experience which requires the regular practical use of knowledge involved in electric utility pruning, vegetation management, electrical knowledge, customer relations and emergency management or other services that directly relate to utility line clearance vegetation management. Membership: Membership is not required to take the certification exam. As ISA members provide financial support to the Certification Program through membership fees, members in good standing will be charged lower certification fees. Both members and non-members will be charged certification and exam fees that reflect the appropriate considerations including the cost of providing the exam at the candidate's chosen location.
